Italian Pipes
Note: unless otherwise noted, photographs were taken against a background of 1" squares
Savinelli Autograph 8. This pipe dates to the late 1970's/early 1980's and is unsmoked. It is also quite large; I haven't had time to photograph it against the usual background of 1" squares, but it's about 6-3/8" long. The bowl is about 2-1/2" high, with a 7/8" diameter tobacco chamber. But for a few small shallow nicks on the left side, probably from careless handling, this pipe is new. Stampings are "Savinelli Autograph" on the left side of the shank, and "Italy 8" on the underside. Includes the original box (somewhat shopworn) and leather sleeve, as shown. $225
Savinelli Punto Oro panel. I suspect this may be one of those unfinished Punto Oros that has been smoked quite a bit and has darkened over time. Stampings are "Savinelli Punto Oro 506 Italy," and the Savinelli shield. The rim is somewhat darkened. $35
