NOTE: Wood is a natural product.  Most woods, and especially burls, have gaps and spaces in the grain.  I do not use fillers or stabilizers in the wood unless I think that the structural integrity of the piece would be compromised.  Therefore, many of the pieces I sell will have natural imperfections in the texture.  This is especially evident in burls such as walnut and cherry.  If you would prefer a piece with a smooth texture, you're probably better off with a close-grained wood such as ebony or bloodwood.
